Privacy policy

GalaxySim 3D works without an account and without analytics. If you allow analytics, we record how the site is used — never sold, never used for advertising profiles. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings.

Who is responsible

GalaxySim 3D, run by Karan Gandhi, is the data fiduciary (controller) for the data described here. Contact us by email at bolopaneer@gmail.com or through the feedback form.

What we collect

Always (necessary)

  • Anonymous page views: the page, device type, browser and country — no identifier, no IP address stored.
  • Crash reports: the error message and where it happened, so we can fix it.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics: cookieless, aggregated visit and performance statistics.

Only if you allow analytics

  • A random identifier stored in your browser, and a session identifier.
  • How you use the simulator: features used, objects you explore, time spent, device and screen type, the site or campaign that brought you.
  • Google Analytics 4 and PostHog cookies; PostHog may record anonymised session replays with all typed text hidden.

Only if you sign in

  • Your email address, name and sign-in method (Google or email link), handled by Google Firebase Authentication; your saved settings and scenarios.

Only if you send feedback

  • Your message, rating and — if you give it — your email address, used only to reply.

Why

To run and secure the site, fix errors, understand which features help people learn about space, and improve them. Necessary data is processed for these legitimate uses; everything else only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who processes it

  • Cloudflare (hosting, database, Web Analytics)
  • Google (Firebase Authentication, Google Analytics, Search Console)
  • PostHog (product analytics)

These providers may process data outside India under their own safeguards. We do not sell or share personal data for advertising.

How long we keep it

Usage events: 24 months. Feedback: until handled, then up to 12 months. Account data: until you delete your account. Crash reports: 12 months.

Children

Students are welcome to use GalaxySim 3D without an account. Under India’s DPDP Act we do not knowingly track or create accounts for children under 18 without a parent’s or guardian’s consent. If you are under 18, choose “Only necessary” in the cookie banner and ask a parent before signing in.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance. Contact us by email at bolopaneer@gmail.com or through the feedback form; we reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India (or, in the EU/UK, your data-protection authority).
